How can I receive funds to Arival?

In order to top up your Arival bank account, you'll need to send a domestic or an international wire or an ACH transfer to the bank details available on your dashboard. We accept domestic and international wires, as well as ACH.

If you wish to top up your EUR account, you can do so through a SEPA transfer. As for USD, the bank details are available on your dashboard.

Proceed by following the instructions in the “Receive Money” section to make sure your payment will have all the necessary information prior to being received by our team. You'll have an additional option to generate an invoice to send this payment request to your counterparties.

  1. Select “Recieve Money” on your Dashboard
  2. Submit the answer for purpose for deposit and expected amount
  3. Upload a supporting document (or multiple if needed) and continue. Examples of supporting documents can include:

    • Invoices
    • Signed agreements
    • Any other type of document that confirms the purpose of the incoming payment.
    • After clicking Continue you'll be directed to the wire details for your Arival account. In the last window of your wire details click Done to submit your information

Why are there several different banks listed in the wire details?

The reason there are a few different bank details showing is because your money moves through multiple financial institutions on its journey to the end destination.

  • Arival uses a correspondent banking partner to send and receive transactions.
  • In the case of international transfers, we also have an intermediary bank. Banks use intermediary banks as their agent abroad to complete payments that either start or end in other countries.

When sending funds to Arival, your originating institution needs these additional details to route the funds properly.

Do I need to put the reference? What if there’s no place to put a reference?

Banks let you add a message or reference to the receiver when initiating a transaction. Usually this is in the form of a field called “Message to receiver”, “Reference”, "Originator to Beneficiary Information (OBI)", "Memo" or something similar.

The reference note is needed to ensure the transfer is credited to the correct account within Arival. Keep in mind, the reference note differs depending on if you're sending a domestic or international wire:

If it is not included, it's possible it will get bounced back to the originating institution.

Why hasn’t my transaction been posted yet?

There are a number of reasons a transfer can be delayed, rejected, or returned. Miskeyed banking details, insufficient funds, delays caused by banking holidays, outdated account information, and more.
