I didn't receive the SMS code - what's next?

If you are experiencing issues with receiving SMS verification messages, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

1. Verify Your Phone Number

  • Correct Format: Ensure that your phone number is entered correctly, including the country code. For example, +1 (555) 123-4567. The example given here is a US phone number.
  • Active Number: Make sure that your phone number is active and capable of receiving SMS messages from other sources.

2. Check Your Network and Carrier

  • Network Coverage: Ensure that you have adequate network coverage. Try moving to an area with better reception.
  • Carrier Restrictions: Some carriers may block messages from certain numbers or short codes. Please contact your mobile carrier to ensure there are no restrictions or blocks on your account.

3. Inspect Your Phone Settings

  • Blocked Numbers: Verify that our sender number is not blocked on your phone. You can check this in your phone’s settings under the Blocked Numbers or Blocked Contacts section.
  • SMS Settings: Check if there are any specific SMS settings or filters that might prevent you from receiving the message. Ensure that you have not enabled any Do Not Disturb modes that could block incoming SMS.

4. Retry Sending the SMS

  • Resend SMS: Attempt to resend the verification SMS. Sometimes network issues can cause temporary delivery failures. If there is an option to resend the code, please use it.

5. Use Alternative Verification Methods

  • Voice Call: Choose the Request a call option to receive your verification code via a voice call.
  • Whatsapp Verification: If SMS delivery is not successful, consider using the Send via Whatsapp option, to receive the verification code on whatsapp.

What is  Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is a two-factor authentication app that we use to make logging into your account more secure. Google Authenticator works by generating codes that are unique to the device they’re downloaded on, providing an extra layer of verification that the actual account owner is attempting to log in.
